In addition, our Embassies and consulates help us considerably in carrying out projects under the Small Grants Fund.

Non-governmental organizations

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a few times a year, depending on the availability of funds, announces calls for proposals opened for NGOs. Their subject matter can include aid for developing countries and countries undergoing transformation, as well as the issues of development education. Information on requests for proposals, including all necessary forms and regulations, is published at the website http://www.msz.gov.pl/ (under the tab “Important links” – “Request for proposals of the Minister”), as well as at the website www.polskapomoc.gov.pl.

Central administration

Under the foreign assistance programme of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, we finance projects undertaken by central administration bodies.

Local administration

In 2006, local administration bodies were invited for the first time to submit project applications, covering the implementation of tasks tied to foreign aid programmes. As a result, the scope of entities implementing Polish development assistance became broader.

The Small Grants Fund

The Fund's resources are used to finance small aid projects, addressed to countries of Africa and Asia. In response to the proposals submitted by Polish Embassies in developing countries the MFA finances various assistance projects.
