The aim of this initiative was to improve the quality of life of disabled Belarusians, counteract their marginalisation and involve them in the construction of civil society. As part of this project, the ecumenical meeting house Kinonia near Minsk was adapted to the needs of people with disabilities and equipped with distance communication and learning tools. Woodwork equipment was also purchased for the centre for people with disabilities at the Belarusian Orthodox Church in Minsk, whereas leather craft machines were bought for the sheltered workshop managed by the Belarusian association for multiple sclerosis sufferers. |
